What is a wax melt & how is it different from a candle?
Unlike candles, wax melts are individual segments of wax that are melted in a wax burner (tea light or electrically powered) without coming into direct contact with the naked flame. Because of this, a greater scent throw is created.
How long will a chunk of wax last?
Each chunk of wax can be burned for 3-4 hours at a time before the scent starts to reduce. We always recommend using a 4 hour tea light at maximum. As a guide we always advise that each chunk of wax can be used more than once, usually 2-3 times but this depends on several factors and personal preference.
Why can I see clear smoke coming from my wax?
No need to panic! This is just the scent being 'thrown' and the weaker the scent gets over time the less smoke you will see. However, if you are at all worried about your wax please get in touch by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I use wax melts whilst pregnant or around newborns?
Although we do not use essential oils and our ingredients are not toxic, we would always recommend consulting with your GP before using our products.
Are your products safe for pets?
Although our scents are non-toxic to our “furry friends”, we do recommend keeping all of our products out of reach of pets.
Should you require further ingredient information, please do not hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
USE & CARE
How do I change my wax melt?
The easiest way for you to change your wax melt is to light a tea light or turn on your burner for about 30 seconds to warm the wax slightly. Then with one hand stabilising the burner, use the other to simply slide out the old wax.
How do I clean my wax burner?
Some warm water and a bit of washing up liquid should be enough to clean out the old wax. Do not use cleaning products to clean your burner.
We always recommend you let the burner cool down before cleaning.
Where should I place my wax burner?
Finding the right place or your burner can be difficult. We always recommend placing it away from any draughts or constant air flow. The placement of your burner can effect the intensity of the scent throw.
In order to protect furniture such as wood or any other painted surface, we recommend placing your burner on a heat protected surface.
